The Certification Program was built to highlight the diversity that each service provider brings to the platform by offering them a certification system to help B2B service providers self-identify their veteran, racial minority, gender, activity, or participation identities, and connect with buyers looking to procure services from diverse vendors.

There are requirements for joining Clutch’s certification program, which is designed to help socially and/or economically disadvantaged vendors market their businesses and connect with buyers who seek their services. There is zero cost to apply for Clutch’s certification program. The criteria to become Clutch-certified are as follows:

• Must be at least 51% owned by minority group members who are US citizens. We abide by the federal definition of minority groups, “by a member (or collection of members) of four ethnic or racial groups: African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans” with the addition of members from MENA; the Middle East and North Africa. 

• Companies without a previous third party certification are subject to a video interview, where they verify their application information.

• Companies may be subject to additional proof of identification

• Be at least 51% owned by a veteran

• Companies without a previous third-party certification are subject to a video interview, where they verify their application information.

• Companies may be subject to additional proof of identification 

• At least 51% owned by an LGBT person

• Exercises independence from any non-LGBT business enterprise

• Companies without a previous third party certification are subject to a video interview, where they verify their application information.

• Companies may be subject to additional proof of identification 

• At least 51% owned by a woman 

• Companies without a previous third party certification are subject to a video interview, where they verify their application information.

• Companies may be subject to additional proof of identification 

• Must be at least 51% owned by a person with a disability

• Companies without a previous third party certification are subject to a video interview, where they verify their application information

• Companies may be subject to additional proof of identification

Simply input your information into our certification form. Please make sure to mark how you identify, include your business registration, and give a written statement on what this certification means to you. 

If you haven’t been previously certified by an accredited third party or you choose not to provide your certificate, you will need to complete a brief 5-minute video interview with our certification committee to verify your application materials

Applications are processed on a rolling basis. You can expect to receive a response within 1 to 3 business days of application submission. Once certified, you will appear on the relevant directory pages.
